The whole area of pet food is now becoming a great concern
for many people. I personally hadn't realised the problems with
a lot of commercial dog food. But since reading Dog Food
Secrets, I have done research on since and found lots of
confirmatory evidence to support the view of the book.
I would strongly recommend that any dog owner considers
carefully what potential damage is being caused to their
animals by using commercial dog food. Not to say that all
commercial dog food is necessarily bad.
Andrew Lewis' book, I found, goes thoroughly into the whole
topic: how to read dog food labels intelligently to know what's
in the product, what the real nutritional requirements of dogs
are, recipes for dog food and also a lot of information on the
health of dogs.
He reveals how the labelling of commercial dog food can be
very misleading. For example, dog food can contain a powerful
preservative like ethoxyquin (even though the
label says preservative free) if it wasn't added
by the manufacturer. Andrew covers what the toxic ingredients
are that you should avoid.
Another example of the misleading nature of labels is that
words such as "premium" or "gourmet" are actually completely
meaningless.
Andrew guides you through the nutritional requirements of
dogs and how to satisfy them, such as knowing exactly how many
calories your dog needs at any particular stage of his life and
the six major components of diet which are essential for your
dog's health.
I have to admit that I also didn't know until I read this
book that there are 20 human foods which are injurious for your
dog. This is something every dog owner should know.
There's a lot in the media about our diet but no one really
pays much attention to our pets' diets. It's refreshing to see
someone has cared enough about it to really research the
subject and bring all the information into one place for
everyone to access easily.
He provides full details and recipes for making your own dog
food. There are 35 recipes in the main book and another 24 in a
bonus book he provides. I was really surprised to find I can
actually save money by not buying commercial dog food.
Overall, I was impressed with the comprehensive covering of
the subject and can highly recommend this package. I would
click the link below and check out Andrew's website - you can

You also have 8 weeks to check out the manual and get a refund
if you aren't satisfied.
